Sherman Oaks, CA

118-unit condominium project with flat-plate solar collectors for space heating and hot water heating. Solar control projections and cross ventilation keep the units cool during the summer months. Winner of 1986 "Honor Award" SFV Section, LA Chapter AIA Design Award.

Cielo Vista Apartments

Albuquerque, NM

205-unit townhouse and garden apartments and recreational facilities. The layout of units on the sloping terrain was designed to provide an unobstructed view of the mountains to the north from every unit. The building’s stepping massing is integrated into the existing terrain to blend with the landscape.

120-Unit Apartment

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

120-unit, 18-story condominium development with "peninsula" units to allow for cross ventilation of lateral breezes. The units are designed to be easily and quickly constructed in concrete modules on site and assembled in a very short period of time with greater precision and workmanship than traditional construction methods. The roof is covered with vacuum tube solar collectors, which provide hot water to the units.

Colfax-Kling Townhomes

Studio City, CA

13-unit townhome condominiums over parking garage. Four units are artist lofts with a skylight roof that brings in natural daylight to the loft and the living area below. Nine units are townhouse style with natural daylighting provided on the second floor through clerestories at the bedrooms and skylights at the core. Winner of 1987 "Merit Award" SFV Chapter AIA Design Award.

Yosemite Gardens Senior Housing

Simi Valley, CA

108-Unit senior’s housing with recreation facilities. The buildings are comprised of one and two-bedroom flats in a courtyard layout surrounding landscaped recreational areas. Passive solar design features include balcony and window overhangs.
