Matt Dirk Fischer

Theatre Designer


Matt Fischer brings 15 years of experience in theatre consulting and architecture to the firm. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley. The bulk of his professional experience is in the design of performing arts facilities and theatre equipment systems (rigging, draperies, lighting, orchestra shells, stage lifts, etc.). He also works on educational and religious facilities, the design and renovation of civic buildings, housing and tenant improvements.

Matt has consulted on over 40 theatre projects, including the Washington Boulevard Performing Arts Center, the Boston Court Theatre, and the renovation work for Kresge Theatre at Carnegie Mellon University. He is currently working on the Gallo Arts Center in Modesto, CA, the Newseum Theatres in Washington, DC, and new facilities for La Jolla Playhouse on the UCSD campus.
